Exterity and Sky Business today announced that they have been working closely together to achieve seamless compatibility and interoperability between the new Sky Bright Box and Exterity’s AvediaPlayer® m93xx and r93xx Media Players. This means that the Exterity set-top boxes are compatible with FTA- or LYNK™ DRM-encrypted content streaming from the Sky Bright Box to Exterity’s ArtioGuest® interactive guest portal hosted on TVs, via media players, or direct to Samsung SmartTVs.
This latest collaboration is part of an ongoing partnership that also includes support for Exterity HDCP Encoders as an authorised method to stream Sky content across corporate networks.
It’s been exciting to work with Sky on the development of a solution for their Sky Bright Box platform, as part of our ongoing collaboration and shared determination to protect the rights of Sky’s content, while raising awareness of the importance of content protection across the whole AV industry.
We have created the Sky Bright Box to make it even easier for customers to access the wealth of premium content we offer in HD. Exterity is one of the key partners whose solution adds to the Sky Bright Box eco-system, providing the essential security to protect and access Sky premium content, and giving customers more choice than ever before.
