Sales Director, Accommodation – UK
About the Role 
 
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Sales Director to drive forward our Accommodation business, which focuses on delivering entertainment solutions to the global cruise market and Hotel business across Europe. 
 
We are currently well established in the Cruise Market business and we are looking to grow and develop this further.  In the hotel market vertical, we have a strong presence in MEA and Asia and this role serves to develop this business in Europe.   
 
Key areas of responsibility are: 
  • Build and shape the Accommodation business – Sales will be your primary focus.  This will also include developing and managing a small team as the business grows and longer term managing a P&L to ensure it meets our growth expectations of both revenue and profitability. Specific sales related duties will cover: 
    • Forecast monthly / quarterly / annual sales volume for each opportunity
    • Courting and managing the sales opportunities for existing Cruise brands globally and also seeking out and targeting introductions to new Cruise brands 
    • Simultaneously developing the Hotel market vertical with responsibility for the full sales cycle from identifying new opportunities through to managing and closing these opportunities.  Key to this will include facilitating getting the solution onto Hotel brands AVL’s 
  • Champion, drive and sell Accommtec Solutions, mainly based on Exterity products with other technologies and services, as required, in order to provide complete solutions. 
    • This will involve working with the technical implementation team, Product Management and regional sales teams across the relevant market verticals to drive and achieve revenue targets. 
    • As the business grows it is likely that developing and leading a small sales team will be required to further grow our market share potential. 
  • Engage with end customers, either directly or with chosen Channel Partners in the system design, delivery and support of the Accommtec solutions. 
 
About You 
 
We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates complete confidence in their skills to research, locate, win, maintain relationships with prospective Hotel and Cruise Liner companies. The successful candidate will be able to establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel at all levels in the accounts and leverage those relationships to identify, qualify and realize potential commercial opportunities. 
 
The right candidate will: 
 
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of selling a technical solution on a large scale within the guest/passenger entertainment system space and able to show:
    • Consistent and significant contribution in previous sales roles
    • Management of full sales lifecycle
  • Have a strong network and can demonstrate existing relationships with top large-scale Hotel brands and/or global Cruise Ship companies 
  • Will likely have strong relationship with Display Manufacturers, i.e. LG, Samsung, Philips, Sony
  • May have experience of organisations in the IP/AV/Digital Signage technology vendor selling to this market
  • A strong technical background, whilst not essential, but would be beneficial with an understanding of IPTV solutions 
Qualifications 
 
A potential Sales Director should have the following qualifications: 
 
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • AV Industry certifications 
  • Possess good references  
  • Languages – in addition to English other language skills would be desirable 
Personal Attributes 
  • Display entrepreneurial spirit, have a self-sufficient and engaging personality with excellent relationship skills.  
  •  Able to demonstrate strong motivational and leadership qualities required to lead a small team 
  • Gregarious, engaging and credible. 
  • Shows initiative and willingness to assume responsibility. 
  • Strong verbal written and presentation skills. 
 
Location 
The ideal candidate will be based in UK or across Europe
