IBC 2017: Exterity showcases enhanced AvediaServer, ArtioSign and AvediaPlayer Media Player product range

Edinburgh – 13 September 2017 – Exterity today announced major updates to its AvediaServer central management platform, including enhancements to the built-in ArtioSign digital signage application. The new features will make their debut on the Exterity stand Hall 14.H13 at IBC 2017 (Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on September 15 - 19, 2017)

New to IBC 2017, the latest version of AvediaServer includes:

  • New ArtioSign features:
    • Deliver ArtioSign content straight to LG Large Format Signage Displays (LFDs) (in addition to the currently supported Samsung LFDs), without the need for a set-top box
    • Display up to 5 days of weather and temperature in multiple locations
    • Schedule digital signage content up to a year in advance and copy Schedules from one day or week to the next
    • ‘High availability’ of ArtioSign: particularly suited to unreliable network environments such as WANs, this important new feature enables users to maintain ArtioSign content delivery through a secondary AvediaServer in the instance of a network drop
  • Integration of ArtioPortal middleware with Agilysys and Protel Property Management Systems (PMS): support for these hospitality property management systems enables guests to order room service, book taxis or spa treatments, and access other services through the in-room TV.
  • New AvediaPlayer m9305 Media Player: the powerful and ultra-reliable new AvediaPlayer m9305 Media Player comes with 32GB of storage, enabling organisations to deliver digital signage campaigns with multiple videos and high-resolution images

Colin Farquhar, CEO at Exterity, commented: “2017 is all about AV-over-IP, which is at the core of Exterity’s solutions. As we leave behind the notion that AV, IP and IT are all different and siloed, we endeavour to make our solutions easier to use and more integrated with mainstream devices in the market, such as LFDs. At IBC 2017, we will showcase how our integrated IP video and digital signage solutions are used across a wide variety of industries – from banking, insurance and the corporate world, through to the hospitality sector, venues and stadiums, universities and schools.”
