Exterity Showcases New Products and Features, Plus Support for Innovative New Video Standards at InfoComm 2019

New York - 22 May 2018

We will be exhibiting at InfoComm on 12 - 14 June (booth 4855 Orange County Convention Center in Orlando Florida), showcasing our largest ever portfolio of high-quality, secure end-to-end IP video and digital signage solutions.

We have consistently grown our North American footprint over the last decade and, with a new local office and expanded on-the-ground team to support our customers, this year’s InfoComm represents an accumulation of this growth, as we are showcasing our most complete end-to-end IPTV and digital signage solution along with several key technology innovations. As the industry embraces an IP and software centric approach to service delivery, visitors to our booth will see a number of the demonstrations that will highlight the power and ease of use offered by our enhanced software and hardware platforms.

The powerful and intuitive digital signage solution, which seamlessly integrates with Exterity's IP video solutions has been updated to include improved scheduling that enables organizations to show specific content within a playlist on set dates, times or intervals by scheduling each layout individually. New corporate-relevant features include meeting room booking and tighter permissions controls, which enable individual teams or departments to access and update their own content quickly and easily.

New AvediaStream Gateway:

Exterity is launching a new media gateway designed for the delivery of local, over-the-air, TV channels from an antenna into the IP video workflow. The new AvediaStream g4448-us Gateway is specifically designed for the US market and enables organizations to benefit from lower cost DTV channel onboarding without the need for a cable provider for all channels. With its eight tuners, the gateway lets users tune to all the main channels such as ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS, PBS and more, with a single blade.

NDI Support on AvediaStream Transcoders:

The new built-in support for Network Device Interface (NDI), allows an easy distribution of production-quality video from an NDI live production environment to all screens in an Exterity IPTV system, and input of live TV streams into an NDI production environment.

SRT Support on AvediaStream Gateway

Exterity’s AvediaStream g4400 Gateway now has built-in support for SRT (Secure Reliable Transport), an open-source protocol that enables broadcasters and video streamers to securely deliver high-quality live streams across the internet without the need for costly, dedicated delivery networks. SRT is fast becoming an important standard for the secure transport of video, and the gateway enhancement ensures the seamless distribution of video, with minimal delay, between remote sites to all screens within an Exterity IPTV installation.

New ArtioGuest features

Exterity’s new hotel middleware portal, ArtioGuest, offering a fully customizable interface that delivers a seamless and interactive experience for guests, has added numerous new features, including VoD support, Recording, Google Chromecast support, TV Source Switching, Multilanguage support and Mailbox.

Our commitment to continually supporting and developing our hardware and software solutions, tailored where necessary for our markets, is a key part of our value proposition. Enhancements such as new support for NDI and SRT are part of our ongoing strategy to provide the flexibility our customers’ need to adapt to changing use cases and to meet demands for ever better-quality, reliable and secure video distribution.
