Software Engineer - PHP/ JavaScript - Exterity HQ, Dalgety Bay, Scotland

About the Role

We are searching for junior/graduate Software Engineers to join our merry crew of talent. You will be at the heart of our web interface team.

Some of the biggest names in the world will rely on you to provide a solution to their signage or IPTV desires. From top football teams to the world’s best known broadcasters, the list of customers you’d be dealing with are spread across all industries and all over the world. But of course some are right on our doorstep, we want to help our local guys, right?

To do this you will be working with Tizen and WebOS Smart TV platforms. We use technologies such as AngularJS, Bootstrap, Node.js, jQuery.

At your desk, discussion is encouraged; this is not a quiet office. How else will we learn what you can do and how will we learn from each other?   Poker sessions with straight faces and cards are used to estimate effort for each project and task. Every two weeks we have retrospectives where we look back and either pat ourselves on the back or clear the air of anything we think could have gone better. We work in the real world, mistakes happen and we all learn from them.

About You

We want some experience or something you can show us that that you can conjure up an interface that’ll blow our socks off! JavaScript, Bootstrap, AngularJS and knowledge of Stranger Things are in the right ballpark, as you need to be able to realise your creation in code too!

Academic achievement is great, but we want people with the right motivation, self-learning is a great skill and you’ll need it as our world is always changing. Test Engineer  - Exterity HQ, Dalgety Bay, Scotland

About the Role

Exterity is recruiting for a Test Engineer to join the Quality Assurance department and this role is particularly suited to a candidate that has already spent their early part of their career working in a Test role and is now looking to take the next step in their career. 

Your role will involve carrying out tests to verify new feature functionality in the company’s IPTV products.  You will interact with developers; ensuring quality is maintained to the highest standard.

Channel Sales Manager – Central Europe

About the Role
Reporting to the European Sales Director, we are recruiting an ambitious Sales Manager to join our established Central Europe Sales and Support team. This role will support existing and expected growth across Central Europe.

We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates complete confidence in their skills to win, maintain and expand relationships with assigned channel partners. The successful candidate will be able to establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts and leverage those relationships to identify, qualify and realise potential commercial opportunities.
Working to achieve your sales target the key areas of responsibility are:

  • Champion Exterity products and position Exterity as the IPTV solution of choice within target market sectors – Corporate, Finance, Education, Broadcast, Healthcare & Stadia
  • Manage the TOP 5 Convergence resellers in the region.
  • Manage TOP 5 AV resellers in the region.
  • Set out channel partner path to success – including delivering sales & technical training & using demonstration equipment
  • Engage with Channel Partners in the system design, delivery and support of Exterity IPTV solutions, together with the local Solutions Consultant
  • Forecast monthly / quarterly / annual sales volume for each channel partner.

About You
The right candidate will:

  • Have experience managing channel partner accounts within the Audio-Visual industry
  • Have existing relationships with top Central European AV integrators
  • Having existing relationships and previous experience in Central Europe would be an advantage
  • Strong relationship with regional and international corporate and finance institutions
  • Be able to demonstrate consistent and significant contribution in previous channel sales role
  • Ideally have worked for another IP/AV technology vendor selling to channel partners
  • Have a strong technical background with an excellent understanding of IPTV solutions
  • Have a good understanding of IP networking
  • Have experience selling enterprise-class solutions across multiple vertical sectors
  • Display entrepreneurial spirit, have a self-sufficient and engaging personality with excellent relationship skills and follow through.

Candidates from an IT/SMATV sales background with a strong understanding of AV/convergence/ multi-media technologies may also be considered.

Qualifications

A potential Channel Sales Manager should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • AV Industry certifications
  • Possess good references 
  • Languages –
    • Will have exceptional German language skills, likely to be a German native speaker. 
    • Will also be fluent in English and French in regards speaking, reading and writing

Solutions Consultant - Central Europe

About the Role

Exterity is recruiting a Solutions Consultant to support existing and expected growth across the Central Europe Region. This position will identify and support sales opportunities and existing deployments with our channel partners and their end-clients. The position will be based within Central Europe and travel across this region is expected.

The main focus of the role is pre-sales technical support. You will also be responsible for the implementation of customer installations as a contracted specialist, supporting our channel partners. In some instance you may be required to handle post-sales support.

Main duties include:

  • Support the company's sales team to help specify products for new customers, reply to tenders, and carry out web-based and on-site demonstrations and training
  • Provide technical expertise and support for our products
  • Focusing on building relationships with the technical teams of our partners
  • Deliver product training to our partners and end users
  • Prepare and deliver demonstrations and POC’s
  • Occasionally it may be necessary to assist the central support team and the customer to debug and troubleshoot any problems faced during the installation process.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong technical knowledge of:
    • IP networking solutions is essential
    •  Digital AV technologies is desirable.
  • Experience of:
    • Video over networks is desirable
    • Digital video technologies and Audio-Visual equipment and video over networks is also highly desired

      Technical Support Engineer - Greater New York Area, USA

      About the Role

      Exterity's Technical Support Team is based in the company's headquarters in Scotland, UK, with another Support office in Sydney, Australia. The team provides global post-sales support to Exterity's network of partners (resellers and distributors). Together with the broader support team including Solutions Consultants based around the world, the team also assists the global sales team with pre-sales technical enquiries.

      Due to our growing customer base we are aiming to provide regional Support in local timeframes to our US customer and furthermore, we plan to establish a Support presence on the North East Coast by opening an office in the Tri-State area.

      Exterity is committed to finding, developing, and retaining an innovative, creative and diverse group of talented and dedicated professionals. The position of Technical Support Engineer will involve the following on a day to day basis:

      • Providing email/telephone support to Exterity's partners between 9am and 6pm, Monday - Friday
      • Assisting Exterity's sales team and solutions consultants with pre-sales technical enquiries
      • Troubleshooting problems/answering questions related to:
        • Exterity’s products
        •  Digital video and broadcast TV
        • IP networking and IP multicast
        • Integration with 3rd party products
      • Assisting partners and application developers to integrate with Exterity products using Exterity's published APIs.
      • Writing knowledgebase articles to share information both internally and externally

      The role will also involve the following on an occasional basis:

      About You

      The successful candidate will fit the following profile:

      • A technical professional with experience in post-sales support, pre-sales support and/or field engineer roles
      • Must be able to commute into NYC within 2 hours travelling time
