Solutions Consultant / Pre-Sales Engineer - Metro New York area preferred: New Jersey, Connecticut, West Chester, Long Island.

About the Role

Exterity is recruiting an experienced, technical and customer-focused Solutions Consultant to support our Channel Sales Managers with our current and expected growth across the North East region of the US.

Reporting to the VP Americas and working alongside the Exterity team, this position will support the Sales Team with the identification and development of sales opportunities and existing deployments with our channel partners and their end clients. The position will be based in the Metro New York area, with travel across North America expected.

The main focus of the role is pre-sales technical support and in some instances may also be responsible for the implementation of customer installations as a contracted specialist, supporting our channel partners.

Main duties include:

  • Support the company sales team to help specify products for new customers, reply to tenders, and carry out web-based and on-site demonstrations and training
  • Provide technical expertise and support for products
  • Focusing on building relationships with technical teams of our partners
  • Deliver product update training, support demonstrations and POCs in conjunction with our partners to the end users
  • Generate revenue by providing commissioning services
  • Occasionally it may be necessary to assist the central support team and the customer to debug and troubleshoot any problems faced during the installation process

About You

The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge of at least one of the following areas. Strong knowledge in multiple areas will be seen as a distinct advantage:

  • Digital AV technologies
  • IP networking solutions
  • Evidence of an ability to create innovative technical solutions to time and budget

Solutions Consultant - Dubai, UAE

About the Role

Exterity is recruiting a Solutions Consultant to support existing and expected growth across the Middle East, Africa and India. Reporting to the ME Technical Manager and working alongside the Exterity team, this position will identify and support sales opportunities and existing deployments with our channel partners and their end clients. The position will be based in Dubai, and travel across the Middle East, Africa and India is expected.

The main focus of the role is pre-sales technical support. You will also be responsible for the implementation of customer installations as a contracted specialist, supporting our channel partners. In some instances you may be required to handle post-sales support.

Main duties include:

  • Support the company's sales team to help specify products for new customers, reply to tenders, and carry out web-based and on-site demonstrations and training

Technical Support Engineer - Sydney

About the Role
Exterity is recruiting a Technical Support Engineer in Sydney to join our growing global support team. In this role you will assist the UK based post-sales support team to provide global support to Exterity’s network of partners (resellers and distributors). Together with the broader support team including Pre-Sales staff based in Sydney and around the world, the team also assists the global sales team with pre-sales technical enquiries.

Exterity is committed to finding, developing, and retaining an innovative, creative and diverse group of talented and dedicated professionals.

This will involve the following on a day to day basis:

  • Providing email/telephone support to Exterity’s partners in ANZ, APAC and around the world
  • Assisting Exterity’s ANZ/APAC Sales team and solutions consultants with pre-sales technical enquiries
  • Troubleshooting problems/answering questions related to:
    • Exterity’s IP video and digital signage products
    • Digital video and broadcast TV
    • IP networking and IP multicast
    • Integration with 3rd party products

About You

About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, we are recruiting an ambitious Channel Sales Manager to join our established APAC Sales and Support team. This role will support existing and expected growth across Asia.

We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates complete confidence in their skills to win, maintain and expand relationships with assigned channel partners. The successful candidate will be able to establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts and leverage those relationships to identify, qualify and realize potential commercial opportunities.

Working to achieve your sales target the key areas of responsibility are:

  • Champion Exterity products and position Exterity as the IPTV solution of choice within target market sectors – corporate & finance, education, hospitality, stadia, broadcast & media and healthcare
  • Manage the TOP 5 Convergence resellers in the region
  • Manage TOP 5 AV resellers in the region
  • Target key resellers in the marketplace
  • Identify, build relationships and work with relevant consultants
  • Set out channel partner path to success – including delivering sales & technical training & using demonstration equipment
  • Engage with Channel Partners in the system design, delivery and support of Exterity IPTV, IP Video and Digital Signage solutions, together with the local Solutions Consultant
  • Forecast monthly/quarterly/annual sales volume for each channel partner.

About You
The right candidate will:

  • Have experience managing channel partner accounts within the Audio-Visual industry
  • Have existing relationships with top APAC AV integrators
  • Be able to demonstrate existing relationships and previous experience of working in Asia.
  • Have strong relationships in our key regional and international markets
  • Be able to demonstrate consistent and significant contribution in previous channel sales roles
  • Ideally have worked for another IP/AV technology vendor selling to channel partners
  • Have a strong technical background with an excellent understanding of IPTV, IP Video and Digital Signage solutions
  • Have a good understanding of IP networking
  • Have experience selling enterprise-class solutions across multiple vertical sectors
  • Display entrepreneurial spirit, have a self-sufficient and engaging personality with excellent relationship skills and follow through.
 
Candidates from an IT/SMATV sales background with a strong understanding of AV/convergence/ multi-media technologies may also be considered.
 

Qualifications

Working in the streaming team you will get involved at all levels of pushing and playback of streamed video. From encoding HEVC UHD to a 4K smart TV, re-encapsulating video from airport camera feeds to working with the Chrome PNACL API to rendering HD video on Chromebooks and HLS output to iPads and iPhones.  Phew it’s a challenge, but the streaming team will help you on the way to greatness no doubt about that.
 
Academic achievement is great, but we want people with the right motivation too, self-learning is a great skill and you’ll need it as the world is not static.
If you don’t have a degree, cool if not you’ll need to prove that you have some real world experience of coding in C/C++, personal project or something else to show off your talent.

Senior Credit Controller - Dalgety Bay, United Kingdom

About the Role
This is a newly created role with full autonomy over the Credit Control function and provides a critical interface between the Operations and Accounts teams.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will manage customer accounts to ensure orders can be processed quickly without presenting unnecessary risk of non-payment to the business.

Credit Control Tasks

  • Set up new customer accounts and review credit account applications
  • Agree suitable trading terms with the customer within the company guidelines provided
  • Issue proforma invoices and monitor customer receipts to ensure new PO’s are released as quickly as possible
  • Approve customer PO’s prior to shipping to ensure customer accounts remain within agreed terms
  • Issue daily sales invoices, ad-hoc credit notes and monthly statements to customers
  • Resolve any invoicing related queries in a timely manner
  • Minimise aged debt and credit risk whilst maximising cash collection
  • Liaise with regional sales managers to discuss customer accounts and negotiate settlement terms when required
  • Produce weekly/monthly aged debt report for review with the Director of Finance

General Accountancy Tasks

  • Calculate and post monthly AR accruals and prepayments
  • Reconciliation of specific AR balance sheet nominal accounts
  • Assist the Management Accountant to prepare the monthly accounts (P&L, balance sheet and aged debtor analysis)Responsible for the Fixed Asset register, asset tagging and calculation of depreciation
  • Ensure tight financial/process controls are maintained
  • Provide holiday/absence cover for the Management Accountant

About You
Typical qualities of a successful Senior Credit Controller include:

Knowledge/Skills

  • Extensive experience of working within AR/credit control at a senior level
  • Confident in chasing overdue invoices using the telephone or chase letters in a firm but friendly manner
  • Experience of using Sage Line 50 and Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel is preferred
  • Prior experience of managing credit card and online payments is highly desirable
  • Up to date knowledge of accounting regulations, processes and procedures.
  • Strong IT skills with confidence to work between and develop different systems and reports to meet business requirements

Qualifications

  • Qualified/Part Qualified member of CIMA/ACCA or similar is desirable however, the right candidate should have a high level of AR experience and a willingness to take ownership of this newly created role.

Experience of working in a general accountancy role would also be advantageous since there will be a requirement from time to time to take on additional tasks to ensure the smooth running of the accounts team.
