Scheduled Channels

With Exterity’s AvediaServer, you can make video recordings available on whatever schedule you determine. A single appliance can serve up to 10 scheduled channels simultaneously to a virtually unlimited number of users. You can easily customise the AvediaServer User Interface to deliver branded, unified access to all TV and video content on your network, in any language.

You can display these channels on standard TVs and AV displays Using Exterity IPTV Receivers, or on user PCs via Exterity Avedia PC Clients. With the Exterity IPTV Manager (a Windows application), you control which channels are available, where they can be seen, and who can see them. You can even remotely change channels and control the volume on one or many displays throughout your facility.

Scheduled channels have applications in many industries.

• Hospitality: automatically play a welcome video which greets guests as they enter their room, generate additional revenue by advertising facilities to guests upon arrival. Advertise local attractions and hotel facilities such as the spa, gym, restaurants and bars.
• Healthcare: welcome patients with a video introduction to the hospitality facilities and what to expect during their stay.
• Education: provide on-campus students with general information upon moving into student accommodation.
• Sporting venues: advertise services as guests enter hospitality suites.
• Corporate: play the pre-recorded company news or president’s message every Monday morning at 9:00 AM.
• Transport: play safety messages at regular intervals.
