Every Exterity product, hardware and software, is based on open industry standards to offer a wide range of integration possibilities to meet the needs of organisations of all sizes. Exterity works with partners and third-party vendors to support many kinds of integration. These include:

• Interoperability
  
  We cooperate with manufacturers to help ensure that their products can supply or accept video streams to or from Exterity devices reliably and without loss of quality. For instance, the AvediaPlayer Plugin is often used by digital signage vendors to deliver top-quality video content.
  
  
• User-end application integration and development
  
  The Exterity Receiver Development Kit (RDK) enables our partners to develop middleware for Exterity IPTV receivers/set-top boxes (e.g., for hotel guest portals), to integrate with room control systems, or to provide network-based management through SNMP control. It supplies three communications methods, Telnet, SNMP, and a browser-oriented Javascript API, to offer a wide range of integration capabilities, and is available to partners for engagements of virtually any size to help them build their business.
  
  
• Desktop video portals
  
  To support corporate communications and closer integration with the desktop, the AvediaPlayer plugin can be used in combination with applications such as the Windows Media Player to embed video content into productivity applications such as PowerPoint or Outlook, and otherwise customise the use of video for business productivity.
