In-House Channels |
With Exterity, you’re not limited to the channels available from terrestrial TV or satellites. You can easily distribute live or recorded content over your building, campus or metropolitan-area network, whether it’s produced in-house or by third parties. AvediaStream Encoders enable you to provide video from DVD/Blu-ray players or digital video cameras as in-house channels. You can also use the AvediaServer to distribute recorded video channels, either on-demand or scheduled for playback at specific times.
You can display these channels on standard TVs and AV displays using Exterity AvediaPlayer Receivers, or on user PCs via Exterity Avedia PC Clients. With AvediaServer Director (Exterity's multi-user building IPTV management system), you control which channels are available, where they can be seen, and who can see them. You can even remotely change channels and control the volume on one or many displays throughout your facility.
In-house channels have applications in many industries.
- Sporting venues: stream live match coverage directly from the pitch around the venue so guests never miss a second of action.
- Hospitality: promote facility use (e.g. tennis courts, golf course) with live video, provide orientation and local-attraction videos to guest room TVs.
- Healthcare: make medical procedures available on the network from digital cameras, archive recordings for training and litigation protection.
- Education: easily distribute recorded educational material to classrooms and lecture halls; stream live lectures to remote viewers on the LAN.
- Corporate: deliver company news and executive updates to staff PCs.
- Transport: deliver flight information without the need for a separate network for Flight Information Displays.
