AvediaStream is a new chassis and blade IPTV solution, designed for organisations that need a flexible, highly-scalable building IPTV system.

Three AvediaStream Chassis are available to house whatever combination of TVgateway or Encoder blades is required to provide the right selection of live TV and encoded video channels.

Exterity AvediaServer is a video server that supports a variety of software modules providing video-on demand (VoD), scheduled play channels, record capabilities, an electronic programme guide (EPG) and a customisable portal interface that allows fast, easy user navigation through all TV and video channels, in any language. It can also host the Exterity IPTV Director multi-user management application.

AvediaPlayer Desktop is a media player which is compatible with both Macs and PCs and allows content to be accessed simply by clicking a link.

The application is powered by AvediaServer, which allows it to be managed from a central location, making it extremely easy to use. AvediaPlayer Desktop also integrates with Active directory and the Exterity Groups mechanism to control the access to TV and video content.

This content can be viewed in Standard Definition (SD) or High Definition (HD) and can be in the form of TV, Radio or Video on Demand.

AvediaPlayer Desktop offers a choice of audio languages where available  and features a Programme Guide to make browsing channels easy.

Exterity’s AvediaPlayer IPTV receiver delivers high quality TVs and video in both Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) up to 1080p using a standard IP Network (LAN).

This greatly increases the both flexibility and scalability, as it allows video to be viewed on multiple displays simultaneously, without affecting picture quality.

AvediaPlayer receivers are extremely user-friendly, as they are centrally managed and can be controlled via AvediaServer Director, SNMP or a web management interface. The receivers also support Power over Ethernet (PoE), for quick and easy installation.

There is also the option of a high security mount, which offers extra protection for the device and cabling, allowing AvediaPlayer receivers to be installed in public or secure areas.

AvediaPlayer can integrate with all Exteriy Building IPTV solutions and, by using our Receiver Development Kit (RDK), can also integrate with third-party middleware.

In addition, our iPhone/iPad application allows remote control of the channel, volume, language and more via WiFi.

AvediaServer Director is a multi-user building IPTV software management application which allows a virtually unlimited number of users access to all IPTV devices on a network via any web-connected computer.

It also allows administrators to monitor, control and assess their organisation’s IPTV system from a central location.

AvediaServer Director also features fast bulk configuration tools, and allows device settings to be imported and exported to make administrating and upgrading devices quicker and easier.

Task scheduling allows the system to be programmed to perform certain actions automatically or follow a preset routine. It is even possible to set multiple receivers to adjust channel, volume or on/off status at scheduled times.
