The reality of wireless TV streaming demonstrated by Exterity and NEC
Electronics at Mediacast.
London ??" May 25, 2004 ??" Exterity Limited, AV networking company, today
demonstrated wireless streaming of live TV at the opening of Mediacast 2004. 
Visitors to the show were able to experience the benefits of having video
delivered to a display with no physical cable connection.  This was one of a
number of exciting demonstrations and announcements made by Exterity at the
show.
"In the area of digital TV and video streaming there is huge opportunity to
deliver exciting and innovative products", exclaimed Colin Farquhar, CEO of
Exterity. "For too long we've thought of displays needing their own separate
cabling system to deliver video signals.  That's all changing now!  Any display
can now be directly attached to a standard IP network, using wired or wireless
technology, increasing the flexibility of these systems while reducing the cost
of installation and maintenance."
In addition to the wireless TV demonstration Exterity presented a networked
display in conjunction with Sanyo UK and announced the iSocket AV Access
Receiver that provides a single point for delivering all digital services into a
hotel room.
