JOB DESCRIPTION RESPONSIBILITIES A Channel Sales Manager will be expected to *Seek out prospective AV partners across the US and Canada, who have the required skill set, market knowledge and penetration within the Audio-Visual ( AV ) and IT industries *Build and manage strong relationships with the sales, marketing, management, operational, and technical contacts for each VAR/SI *Manage the Partner Program to develop joint Business and Marketing plans with Platinum partners *Provide Sales Forecasts on a timely basis *Represent needs of channel partners and end-users within Exterity *Travel up to 50% *Manage Exterity’s business within a defined territory *Visit Partners as well as End-User opportunities, either on behalf of, or with partners *Skilfully demonstrate Exterity’s capabilities around IPTV Solutions *Have good presentation skills *Act as a highly thought of consultant on IPTV solutions *Work on a day-to-day basis with Exterity’s Sales Engineering Dept and Exterity’s Distributors *Provide feedback to Exterity’s Engineering team *Deliver a minimum of 100% of an agreed Sales Target DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE EXPERIENCE Candidate must have experience managing channel partner accounts within the Audio-Visual industry and brings with him/her existing relationships with top AV integrators in the US. Must be able to demonstrate consistent and significant contribution in previous channel sales roles. May have previously worked at an AV Value Added Reseller or Systems Integrator, another manufacturer selling to AV channel partners, or a distributor selling to AV channel partners. Should be very technically inclined with an excellent understanding of AV solutions and have a good understanding of IP networking. Candidates from an IT sales background with a strong understanding of AV/convergence/multi-media technologies may also be considered. Should have experience selling enterprise-class solutions across many industries such as corporate, education, hospitality, venue/events, broadcast, government, etc. Must be an entrepreneurial go-getter with excellent relationship skills and follow-through. Ideal candidate is a career sales person who genuinely enjoys engaging customers and helping them create their ideal business video/digital media solution. Sales Engineer/Technical Support - USA/Canada Exterity seeks an experienced, customer-focused, technical professional who will work directly with Exterity channel sales managers to identify and support sales opportunities with our channel partners and their end-customers. In addition to pre-sales technical support, this person will provide post-sales technical support and manage a small stock of loan equipment used for PoC’s. The role requires previous experience working in a technical support role or as a sales engineer and knowledge of IP networking, particularly IP multicasting protocols. Experience with digital video technologies, Audio-Visual equipment and video over networks is also highly desired, but not required. The ideal candidate understands the technical sales cycle, is self-disciplined, has a can-do attitude, and has strong communication and ‘people’ skills to complement their technical skills. This person must be able to make presentations and lead discussions on complex technical concepts for audiences ranging from non-technical and technical staff to executive business management. This position may require up to 50% travel.
