02 April 2004

Exterity demonstrates compatibility between its iSocket products and the Cisco ACNS 5.1 system incorporating IPTV.

Edinburgh ??" April 02, 2004 ??" Exterity Limited, AV networking company, today announced that its iSocket products have demonstrated compatibility with Cisco's ACNS 5.1 media streaming and management system.  Exterity iSockets can be configured to receive live, scheduled and on-demand video from Cisco ACNS 5.1.

"Compatibility with Cisco's ACNS system is important to Exterity as it helps our authorised Systems Integrators, a number of whom are also Cisco partners, to deliver new video distribution capabilities to their clients", said Colin Farquhar, CEO of Exterity.  "The iSocket delivers video to the end-user display, and can now take advantage of the large scale video distribution capabilities of Cisco ACNS, including distribution of content across the internet or wide area networks for local play out".
