EXTERITY TO LAUNCH HIGH DEFINITION PRODUCT RANGE AT THIS YEAR’S IBC
New Gateway, Encoder and Receiver deliver and receive HD-quality TV, video and multimedia content via IP
London, 20th July 2007: Exterity, a specialist in network IPTV, is set to launch its range of High Definition (HD) products at this year’s IBC exhibition. Working together or as a stand-alone solution, the new products will deliver and receive HD-quality TV, video and multimedia content over Internet Protocol (IP) to any HD compatible end point. All products are ideal for the corporate, education and hospitality environment and will be available in autumn this year from a range of Exterity partners.
The idaptor HD DVB-to-IP Gateway will enable the distribution of live broadcast TV across any network. The idaptor HD MPEG Encoder will connect any consumer, professional and broadcast equipment to a local area network as well as encode and stream HD-quality video to every HD-ready product on the network. The new idaptor HD IPTV Receiver will form the link between any HD TV or display and the network, enabling the delivery of HD quality TV channels, video or information services.
“High Definition is set to become main stream over the next few years and as a result we wanted to provide our partners and their customers with access to range of future-proof products,” commented Colin Farquhar, CEO, Exterity. “The new Gateway, Encoder and Receiver are easy to use and are a cost effective way of delivering a complete end-to-end HD compatible IPTV solution.”
Exterity will also demonstrate its existing range of gateways, MPEG encoders and set-top boxes at this year’s show, together with its avedia range of software applications which allow users to view, record and replay live TV directly to a desktop or laptop PC.
